An intriguing artist, Germán Cueto was an offspring of the Estridentismo movement. He travelled to Paris in 1927; but well before Cueto left Mexico and came into contact with Brancusi and Lipchitz, his sculptures were replete with international references. He had worked with wire and enamel and produced Polynesian-influenced wood carvings...
