His earliest dated works are found in the 1740s and by the early 1750s he was active as an appraiser. His most important painting is Fray Dionisio Vásquez rehusando la mitra de México, Museo Nacional and signed in 1751. In La Profesa there is a work by him Retrato de un sacerdote; in the Temple of Balvanera, Vigen de la Luz from 1750 and in a private collection, Santa Rosa de Viterbo predicando cuando era niña.
